Boarding Policies

  • You are welcome to bring your pet's own food, however raw food, CBD products and real bones are not permitted.

  • All pets must be up to date on all of their core vaccines before entering the boarding facility.  If QCAH is not your regular vet, it is your responsibility to provide proof of your pet's current vaccines before your pet's drop off date.  Vaccines given at home or by anyone other than a licensed veterinarian will not be accepted.  If you do not provide these records before your pet checks in, your pet may be vaccinated during their stay at your expense.  No refunds will be given.

  • All pets must have been checked for intestinal worms every 6 months OR be taking a monthly dewormer that covers all types of intestinal worms.  Such products may include Interceptor Plus and Trifexis.  We must have proof that you have purchased these products from a veterinarian.  If you do not provide proof prior to your pet's check-in he/she may be checked for worms at your expense.  No refunds will be given.

  • All pets must be free from fleas and ticks.  If fleas or ticks are found on your pet during his/her stay, your pet will be treated at your expense.

  • Sometimes pets behave in unexpected ways while staying in a strange place with other animals. We understand this and work with each pet as best we can to make them comfortable.  We have calming medications available and we encourage you to approve them for use if your pet may need them. However, if your pet becomes aggressive and/or bites a staff member, he or she may no longer be welcome at our facility.  This will be at the head veterinarian's discretion.

  • We cannot accommodate nursing or bottle-fed puppies and kittens, or puppies/kittens too young to be vaccinated.

  • We will accommodate most pets with medical conditions.  Be aware that management of some conditions may result in additional charges.  If your pet requires daily medication you should bring it with them.  If you do not and the medication is crucial to your pet's health and safety, we may fill the medication and administer it at your expense.  No refunds will be given.

  • If you do not pick your pet up within 48 hours of the scheduled check-out date and cannot be contacted, and we are unable to get in touch with any emergency contacts, we will assume your pet is abandoned and contact Animal Control.  Your pet may be seized and the county may press charges.

  • After-hours check-in and check-out are available to established clients during times that the facility is closed by appointment only. These appointments need to be confirmed by 5pm on the Friday before they are scheduled.  There is a fee associated with these appointments.  This service is not available on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

  • Any or all of these policies may be subject to change at any time at the head veterinarian's discretion.
